Once, I told all around town that we were
to niove to Telemarken. I really believed it

last it got into the paper, and, O dear! it wasn’t

time Father Avas furious with me.

After that I never heard a word about
Father’s looking for a position; I suppose they
AArere afraid I should tell of it again. And so
it AATas like lightning from a clear sky and I Avas
completely astounded Avlien Mother told me
one morning at breakfast that Father had got
a position in Christiania, and that we Avere to
move away.

“ Well, may I tell about it noAV? ” I asked.

“ Yes, noAV you may say all you like,” said
Mother.

I couldn’t get another mouthful down after
hearing the neAvs, but hurried off to school.
Not a soul had come when I got there, so I had
to AArait, alone Avith my great neAA^s, for five long
