Setting. A large circle, Olle, bear, mother. Olle inside; the
mother and the bear outside.
Description. During i, circle sings, while Olle toddles around
with short steps. At 2, Olle sings alone in plaintive tone.

(a) Hark, footsteps crackling in woods around!
(b) Is it a dog with such long, shaggy hair ?
Olle is happy, a playmate he’s found;
(c) "Good-day, dear playmate, you’re taking the air?"
