On the 9th of
October, 1918, the iron works
at Hellefors were
destroyed by fire. This
led to a complete
reconstruction of the iron
works, which had
become rather
old-fashioned. In its new form
the establishment now
consists of two 25-ton
basic Siemens-Martin
furnaces, one 12 ton acid
S-M furnace and ingot-,
medium-, universal- and
wire rolling mills, equip-
