| C. G. Rosenberg The finest of the royal summer residences is the palace of Drottningholm, immediately west of Stockholm. It is a well-preserved Swedish Versailles, with wings and pavilions and extensive grounds, which afford an idea of the artistic standard attained in Sweden during the 17th and 18th centuries. |
