JxLly lUh. The bowels were moved last uight. Did not
complain of pain. Treatment same as yesterday.
Mly 18th. The boy was allowed to get up and to lie dressed
on the top of the bed. Could scarcely stand from weakness.
Has had some finely divided meat and fish. Bowels have been
moved once a day.
July 22nd. The patient has been up and about during the
last three days. Treatment discontinued.
The vibrations served the purpose of relieving the pain,
preventing peristalsis, and reducing the inflammation.
I should like to add that I feel greatly indebted to the boys’
mother for the rapid progress towards recovery in the last two
cases. She had herself for several years been more or less
under manual treatment. She is gifted with an unusually good
hand, and could therefore correctly apply the vibrations.
