MECHANICAL WOOD-PULP MILLS.
Mölnbacka Wood Pdlp Mill, established 1889, with three grinding machines,
and a yearly production of about 3,500 tons dry white mechanical pulp.
Kvarntorp Wood Pulp Mill, built in 1890, with one grinding machine, turns
out 1,000 tons brown wet mechanical pulp every year. The factory lies on a tributary
of the Klarälven, one-third of a mile from Kvarntorp station, ou the
Karlstad—Munkfors Railwa)’.
Dejefors Wood Pulp Mill, situated at the Dcjefors Works, on the Karlstad—
Munkfors Railway. The factory (built in 1889) has 4 grinding machines and
manufactures 4,500 tons of dry brown and white mechanical ’wood, pulp yearly.
Ransberg Card Board Mill was erected in 1889 and has 2 grinding machines
and 7 wet machines. At present, the factory turns out about 1,200 tons of brown
boards yearly, both unglazed and friction-glazed. The works lie about 3 miles west of
Ransäter station, on the Karlstad—Munkfors Railway.
Frykfors W7ood Pulp Mill, erected in 1885, with 2 grinding machines,
manufactures 3rearly 2,000 tons dry white mechanical wood pidp. The factory lies about
2 miles from Fagerås station, on the north western main line between Stockholm and
Christiania. Shipments can be made either via Gothenburg or Christiania.
Edsvalla Wood Pulp Mill, buit in 1889, has 4 grinding machines and
manufactures yearly 4,000 tons wet ivhite mechanical wood pulp. The factory is close to the
Edsvalla station on the Bergslagernas Railway. The product is sent, either via this station,
or else — during the summer months — by water, via lake Vänern and Gothenburg.
SAW MILLS.
That part of the timber obtained from the Mölnbacka-Trysil Company’s own and
leased forests and which cannot suitably be utilized at the company’s chemical and
mechanical wood pulp mills mentioned above, is manufactured at the following
exporting saw mills belonging to the firm:
Hult Steam Saw Mills, situated at Skåre, near the river Klarälven, 4 miles
north of Karlstad, was established in 1875. The mills are equipped with 0 frames
and 3 edging benches, all the machinery being fully up-to-date and practical. The
yearly production amounts to 5,000 standards sawn timber. The delivery is either per
rail from Skåre station, or by boat from Karlstad or Gothenburg.
Dejefors Saw Mills, are situated at the Dejefors Works. They were built in
