^l^HE Ytterstfors-Munksund Company is the most northerly and at the same time
-I. the largest wood-industry enterprise in Sweden.

The company is an amalgamation of a great number of formerly independent
small saw mills and dates a very long way back. The company, however, got its
present name in 1916 when the old Ytterstfors Trävaruaktiebolag bought the whole stock
of shares in the Munksunds Sågverks Aktiebolag and both companies were transformed
