cash on hand items with deposits in the State Bank of Chi*
cago and in the Union Bank and found the same correct*

The following were elected officers for the ensuing year:

The Council expressed their appreciation of the kind offer
of Mr. N* A. Nelson, President of the Scandia Life Insurance
Co., to use his office for their meetings.
The president and vice president were requested to present
the cause of the Society upon their visit to New York City.
Annual Meeting, Oct. 2, 1917*
The Treasurer submitted a report of money received as
$749.00 and money on hand after paying bills as $375.00* Bill
from Doctor Wallenius, covering the room in the Seminary
m Evanston, now used as Library, was ordered paid.
Motion was made and carried that the annual meeting be
held Friday evening, November 9th, same to be held in
connection with a dinner, and price of tickets to be $1,50 per
person,
The Corresponding Secretary was directed to write to
Professor C W, Foss of Rock Island, inviting him to be the
speaker of the evening*
The matter of suitable music, etc., was left with the
Chairman and Program Committee, The appointment of a
nominating committee was also left with the Chairman.
Annual Meeting, Oct. yo, 1917.
Chairman Westman presided. A report was received from
the Committee on Program, stating the necessity of a change
in the speaker as originally reported, and that Mr. George E.
Ch Johnson would speak in the absence of Professor C. W.
Foss of Rock Island.
