Atlantic Deep Sea Expedition“ 1910 at the following stations: (all the hauls

Distribution: — This species has been observed by previous expeditions at a number of
stations in the Atlantic and I n d i a n Oceans from lat. 43" N. to lat. ö3" S. By
means of the finds mentioned above it has been proved that the species is fourni in the
Atlantic rather considerably more north — up to lat. 56n 33’ X. (Station 98). In the latter
case it is probably a specimen carried north by the Gulf S tream.
With regard to its distribution vertically we may state with a certain amount of
pro-bability that its natural habitat is in moderate depths, from which it makes excursions into
lesser depths.
