were, as will be seen below, 14 males and 29 females. In another sample 125 individuals were
investigated, of whicb 39 were males and 86 females. In sonie cases the proportion was one
to four or even one to five or males were quite absent. The females predominated in number
in the larvae as well.

Distribution: — The northern part of the Atlantic Ocean, chie fly north of lat. 60°, and
the Arctic Ocean.
The localities investigated by me were part of the previously knowu area of distribution.

Diagnosis: — See G. \V. MULLER, 1906 a, p. 77.
Remarks: — Of the specimens investigated by me the males ineasured 1.2—1.37 mm.,
the females 1,3—1,75 mm. Both among the males and the females there were partly specimens
whose shells agreed well in shape witli the type drawn by G. \1. 310LLER, 1906 a and partly
those that resembled more or less the types reproduced by me above for the Scandinavian form.
