Dessa föga djupsinniga, men som tidsmålning
icke alldeles värdelösa verser stå att läsa på
insidan av pärmen till en gammal Virgilius, som
är i min ägo. På det solkiga titelbladet står bland
en massa okynne med samma handstil skrivet:
Vale Wimäraby P. M. Smolandus.

Stavningen »Wimäraby» saknar ej sitt intresse
såsom påminnande om den gamla sägnen, att de
tattare och hästskojare, som grundlade Vimmerby,
lära ha börjat sin ansökan om stadsrättigheter hos
