I vvas surprized to see many more new Genera, than any other
in this Age has propounded and constructed.
The most evident of which, whereof I was fully satisfied; I
have taken out and adopted: as Camocladea, Moniera, spathce,
your Scurrula, Amyris, Weinmannia, your Volkameria,
Erythro-xylum, Xylopicrum, Elisia, Stemodiacra, Zigia, Canella, Blalcea,
Gedrela, Omphalandra, Fharus, Trophis, Batis, Iresine,
Caly-canthus or the Beureria of Ehret, Gigalobium, etc.
Thosse which seemed more intricate to me because I could
not inspect them, were the following.
Gladium, Lygostema, Petesia, Coccocipsilum, Sicelium, Catonia,
Crossopetalum; Lisianthius, Psycotrophum, Chiococca, Portlandia,
Erithalis, Macrocnemum,Butneria, Metopium, Sarcomphalus, Dodonaea,
Hypelate, Melicoccus, Melanium, Barbilus, Guphaea, Trichogamila etc.
Perhaps if 1 were to see them, they would become equally
perspicous to me.
Some of them I had a notion might be referred to other
Genera?
