at 2215 GMT). Patricia FitzGerald
presents a selection of recordings.
Folk Songs (Thursdays at 1715 and
Sundays at 1500 GMT). The Inca
Taky Trio and Tony the Troubadour
appear alternately with ballads and
folk songs of the Americas.
Prairie Schooner (Wednesdays at
2215 GMT). CBC Winnipeg revives
the tunes and dances of pioneer days,
with Jimmy Gowler’s orchestra.
Symphonette (Sundays at 1630 and
2200 GMT). A quarter-hour of re-
corded classical music.
Music for the Moment (Sundays at
1900 and Fridays at 1715 GMT). A
program of music both old and new,
particularly the music that people
are enjoying in Canada today.
Music of the Moderns (Mondays at
1715 and 2215) GMT). Music for
dancing featuring well-known Cana-
dian and American bands.
Famous Voices (Wednesdays at
1715 and Saturdays at 2200 GMT).
Short recitals by the world’s finest
singers.
Other Programs
Listeners’ Corner (Fridays at 2215
GMT). Liston Burns and Patricia
FitzGerald talk to listeners about the
letters they have written, and play
recordings of music they have re-
quested.

Dec. 7—a report on the activities of
all denominations in Canada, prepared
by Dr. W. J. Gallagher, secretary of
the Canadian Council of Churches.
