The CBC International Service
broadcasts three English-language trans-
missions daily for listeners in the
United Kingdom. A description of
these transmissions for the month of
October appears below.
Detailed information, including times
and frequencies for the various pro-
grams, will be found on the CBC Euro-
pean Service program chart inserted in
this issue.
THE News is heard daily in each of
the three transmissions.
CANADIAN COMMENTARY (Sundays).
A discussion of current events in
Canada and their bearing on world
affairs.
MIDWEEK COMMENTARY (Wednes-
days). Program speakers and jour-
nalists review the highlights of the
week’s news.
Acctualities and interviews
CANADIAN CHRONICLE (Monday to
Friday). Presenting topical reports
from all parts of Canada. Twice-
daily.
KING GORDON, United Nations
representative in New York for the
CBC International Service who will
cover the Paris General Assembly
proceedings this Fall.
Canadian Chronicle, heard twice daily
from Monday to Friday, is a radio
journal of events in Canada.
DICK HALHEAD, editor and producer
of Canadian Chronicle in Montreal.
LARRY ROGERS reports to Canadian
Chronicle from Toronto, Ontario.
