FARM REPORT (Thursdays). This
series includes reports and commen-
taries on all aspects of food production
in Canada, as well as marketing and
trade in food commodities with other
countries. During the month of May
there are weekly surveys of the
various farming regions of Canada
with descriptions of farm and garden
produce in these areas. May 5, Stan

An end-of-the-week review of events

CANADIAN CHRONICLE (Monday to
Saturday). CBC correspondents report
twice daily on Canadian news high-
lights.

Graham Allen contributes regularly to ‘‘Cana-
dian Chronicle” from Halifax.

CANADIANS AT WORK (Fridays). De-
scriptive documentary broadcasts on
Canadian industry and production
methods.

Cross SECTION (Sundays). Gordon
Burwash interviews new Canadians
who have recently made their homes
in this country. May 1, Hilda Aleep
(Estonian); May 8, A. C. Steiger
(Swiss) ; May 15, Ille Toolise (Estonian

student nurse); May 22, O. Z. Rylski:

(Polish scientist).

Michael Sheldon, born in London and educated

at Oxford, was foreign editor of the British Euro-

pean Airways before coming to Canada last year.

His series, “Canada Looks to the Air” is heard
on Tuesdays.
