This Week !(Tuesdays). Discussions
of current affairs by Canadians, guest
speakers and well-informed visitors
to Canada.

Actualities and Interviews

Canadian Chronicle (Monday to
Saturday). Stories behind the head-
lines of Canadian dailies are presented
by reporters from coast to coast in
this series which is broadcast twice
daily.

Canadians at Work (Fridays).
Canada’s industries and production
methods are described in these docu-
mentary programs, much of which
takes place in the factory, itself.

Cross Section (Sundays). Ted Allen
of Montreal begins a series of inter-
views with industrial, office and
farm workers. March 5, An Aluminum
Worker; March 12, A Steelworker:
March 19, A Rubber Worker; March
26, A Chemical Worker.

Magazine Programs

Forest, Field and Farm (Wednes-
days). Commentaries on the progress
of Canadian agriculture, food produc-
tion, marketing, and the development
and utilization of Canada’s natural
resources. A regular contributor to
this series is Kenneth Wilson, Ottawa
editor of the ‘Financial Post”.

Women in the New World (Satur-
days). This series includes stories of
Canadian women, their careers,
hobbies and interests. Two or more
speakers are heard on each program.

Canadian Primer (Sundays). Or
the ABC of Canada. A kindergarten
course in the fundamental facts about
Canada. Teacher Charles Wasser-
mann conducts his radio class from
R to U. March 5, R for Railroads:
March 12, S for Shipping; March 19,
T for Telephones; March 26, U for
Unions.

Graham Allen, associate editor of "The Halifax
Herald”, 1s a regular contributor to "Canadian
Chronicle”.

Musical Programs

Evening Recital (Thurdays). A
series of performances by outstanding
Canadian artists, produced by Patricia
Fitzgerald.

Folk Songs (Tuesdays). The favorite
folk songs of North America are
interpreted by Alan Mills, Canadian
ballad singer. Mr. Mills also traces
the background of the songs he sings.

Prairie Schooner (Sundays). Recall-
ing the times of the early settlers,
Jimmy Gowler and his orchestra
present lively dances and folktunes of
the Pioneer West.

Drama

Three of a Kind (Mondays). Repre-
senting an average Canadian family
are Mr. and Mrs. Kind and their son,
Nicholas, whose day-to-day existence
is portrayed in this series of dramatic
episodes, written expressly for short-
wave broadcast by Norman Creighton
of Hansport, Nova Scotia.
