Four English language transmissions
are directed to listeners in the United
Kingdom daily. The times and
frequencies of the programs contained
in these transmissions are outlined
on pages 10 and 11 of this booklet.
News and Commentary
News. Canadian and international
news is broadcast four times daily.
Postnews Commentaries (Monday
through Friday). A four-minute com-
mentary follows the news to Europe
at 2200 hours GMT. Mondays:

of “The Toronto Globe and Mail’:
Wednesdays: Sports review: Thurs-
days: Charles Woodsworth of ‘‘The

ing from Lake Success.
Wednesday Talk on the Arts (at
2255 GMT). Each Wednesday Cana-
dians discuss events in the theatre,
and artistic, musical and literary

Gowan; May 17, To be announced:
May 24, “The Search for Talent in
Canada”, by George Duffield, Produc-

Saturday Story. Descriptions of
Canada’s capital, her people, build-
ings, business and cultural activities,
and her out-of-town beauty spots.
Sundays: A new series, "Let’s Look
at Science”, follows the news. In this
series observers from various points
across Canada describe recent devel-
opments in scientific research which
have affected industry, medicine and
other fields.
Midweek Commentary (Wednes-
days). Discussions by well-informed
Canadian speakers on political and
social developments in this country.

summary of the outstanding events of
the week in (Canada and abroad.

mentary program series.
Cross Section (Sundays). Inter-
