The National Parks of Canada

The national parks of Canada were established to preserve the scenic
| beauty, native wildlife and natural wonders of the landscape. They extend
from the mountain regions of British Columbia, Canada’s Pacific coast province,
to the Atlantic coast of the Maritime Provinces. In these parks the people
of Canada and their visitors can find relaxation in a variety of country—high

mountains, thickly-wooded areas, lakes and streams and picturesque stretches
by the sea. All parks are accessible and many have historic interests in addition
to their other attractions. With the changing seasons, Canada’s national parks
become transformed into white wonderlands of winter and lush green play-
grounds of summer.
