Gokstadskeppet grävdes ut 1880 och Nicolaysens
längre beskrivning (se reklamen på
baksidan) utkom 1882. Denna kortare beskrivning utkom tydligen
1887, men det digitaliserade exemplaret tillhör andra upplagan från
1891. Boken har digitaliserats dels fristående i oktober 2015, dels
inbunden baktil i Nicolaysens bok som digitaliserades i september 2014
av norska Nasjonalbiblioteket, varifrån de scannade bilderna i april
2025 kopierades till Projekt Runeberg. Vi har vitbalanserat
sidbilderna. OCR-texten togs fram med Tesseract 5.3 (nor).
This volume was scanned by the Norwegian National Library,
from where the scanned images were copied to Project Runeberg.
