hölt äfven här Nyckterhetstal, han är ännu här i Socknarna, han
skall til Söderhamn nästa Söndag.
Med al kärlek, vördnad och Högacktning lefver Brors Redlige
vän och Staplande medvandrare till Himmelen. Gud hjelp mig
därtil och oss alla.

P. S. Hälsa hjertligt alla Jesu vänner i England från
Nådetiggare i Norden af Sverige, at de hafva oss i Sina förböner, vi
träffas vid korset i våra böner, och af blotta Nåd för Jesu görande
och lidande lydnad skull får vi, efter mödor, qval och strid, träffas
i den sälla himmelen inför Lamsens Thron och där evigt Lofsjunga.
Eja vore vi där, Eja vore vi där!!!

Respected and Dear Sir,
I am desired by the Committee of the Wesleyan Missionary
Society, and on their behalf, to request the favour of a few lines
from you on the following subject.
You are of course aware that the place of Worship in which
you kindly preached »the everlasting gospel», and in which divine
Service in Swedish has been regularly performed to the edification
of many, has by an order from the Governor of Stockholm been
closed, and all Swedish Service, by me, prohibited; while at the
same time a strong prejudice against my continued labours in
Sweden has been created by the diligent circulation of reports and
insinuations, as unfounded as they are injurious.
The Committee have taken the whole subject into serious and
deliberate consideration and as 1:0 their operations in Sweden have
ever been of a purely disinterested character, as 2:0 they have been
carried on at a considerable annual sacrifice of funds, and the
labours of a preacher who might be profitably employed elsewhere
in promoting Methodism, which he did not and could not do in
Sweden; and as 3:0 the operations of the preacher however praise-
