single question, in which all the new aspirations of her heart seemed
to be concentrated: " Is it possible that such a soul as mine, can be
saved?" What now followed, the joy and happiness of her friend, the
words of comfort and advice she gave her, you easily understand. Soon
she was able to believe in the saving truths of the Gospel, and was
at once separated from all her former aquaintances and friends, a mark
to their astonishment, sorrow, and contempt. From this time she has
grown iu grace, and has, as we said before, been an instrument to the
awakening of many souls.
Such glorious things the Lord is doing among us, and we are
permitted to be the witnesses to such wonders of His grace, and even
to be "laborers together with God" (i Cor. Ill) in the blessed work!
Praise and glory to His holy name!
