ordered a small admixture of Galomel with success & a sleight touch
with aqua fortis in wh you disolve mercury ad saturationem with carry
off soft venerial warts, often so as not to leaver a trace behind in 24
hours. As to the Inward use of the common solution of corrosive
sublimate a dose once or twice a week wonderfully promotes the Gure of
Gonorrhseas where no other medicine is given besides mucilaginous
Infusions with nitre & manna. —

I had clared up what doubts I bad about the plants. I mentioned
to you before I reced your kind letter. 1 am much in doubt about the
Trophis being the Bucephalon, as to the other I cant say anything as
I can’t find any mention of the Pterocarpon in the Edition of your works
published at that time the last Edition I have sent for to London & if
there I shall have them in a few Days. I recd the letter you mention

Kera-tophita from the rocks, but never could find any incrustations upon them
while in a growing state, there they have a beautifull lusture in the
water, something of a blueish Gast. —

I do not know what to make of the specimen 1 send you, this is
a young & imperfect little branch it creeps & the common footstalk is
commonly about 3 inches, the bunch is dichotomous with single flowers
from the Division, at first 1 thought it some common plant, but cant
now make it out when I saw it, I had neither backes nor glasses, it
was down in the country where I do intend to retire also this season:
the flower an intermediate single one had 8. Stam. & 3 or I thought

it did not ansf
