Sh. about half the size of S. spirorbis, and a little spreading
at the base; besides the carinated ridge 011 the outer whirl, it also
differs from S. spirorbis in having the middle whirl rather concave,
aud sometimes pervious. (Mtg. Dill.)

T. tereti spiral/ glamerata, latere superiore sulcis tribus elevatis.
Testæ magnitudine seminis coriandri, con/ertæ, spirales, sed
irregu-lares. (L.)

Animal furnished with 10 ciliated rays, and a sub-funnel shaped
proboscis at one side, of the same colour, with a brown margin,
ciliated, hyaline. (Mtg.)
