rTubes large, thick, and strong, ivhile, somewhat rugose with
lines of growth; underside flat, upper surface with two strong
ca-rince. one on each side; so tliat a transverse section of the tube is
a square. Aperlure rounded within and turned upwards. Dm. -L inch.
