Bytliocaris Payeri. (Heller), pg. 33.

Alifort af Ur. Hoek fra en enkelt-Station i Østhavet,
160 Favne. En Figur af den forreste Del af Kroppen,
seet ovenfra, og af en Kindbakke er leveret. Norman
omtaler ligeledes denne Fonn som forekommende meget
almindelig paa en enkelt Station i Fa-ro Shetlands Renden.

Bytliocaris Payeri. (Heller), p. 33.

Mentioned by Dr. Hoek as met with at a single
Station in the Barents’ Sea; depth 160 fathoms. A figure
is furnished of the foremost part of the body, viewed from
above, and also one of a mandible. Mr. Norman has
likewise recorded this form as occurring rather plenttiful in a
single Station in the Faroe Channel.

Hymenodora glacialis, (Buchhols), pg. 37.

Min Antagelse, at denne Form maa skarpt skilles Ira
Prof. Sidn. Smith har under
Benævnelsen Meningodora mollis beskrevet en Form. der,
skjøndt vistnok artsforskjellig fra Hymenodora glacialis, dog
neppe kan generiskt adskilles. Senere fra samme Forfatter
ogsaa anført Hymenodora glactalis som forekommende i
Havet udenfor Nord-Amerikas Østkyst.

Hymenodora glacialis. (Buchholz). p. 37.

The opinon entertained by tile Author as to this form
being distinctly deviate from the genus l’asiphaé, under which
Buchholz has classed it. and belonging rather the same family
as the genus Ephyra Roux. is fully borne out by the most
recent researches on the latter genus. The name Ephyra
having previously been adopted in zoology. Mr. Kingsley
has seen lit to substitute that of Miersia: and the
family-designation Ephyridæ should therefore, in accordance
herewith. presumably, be changed to Miersiidæ. Professor Sidney
Smith has described, under the appellation Meningodora
mollis, a form which, though no doubt specifically distinct
from Hymenodora glacialis. will hardly admit of generic
distinction. Subsequently, the said author has also recorded
Hymenodora glacialis, as occurring off the eastern coast of
North America.

Boreomysis nobilis. G. O. Sars, pg. 54.

Hoist
mærkværdig er Artens Forekomst i omtrent den tilsvarende
Region af Begge Hemisphærer, uden at være paatruffet i
det mellemliggende Strøg af Oceanet.

Boreomysis nobilis. G. O. Sars. p. 54.

Recorded 1)} Mr. Norman, from a single Station in
the Faroe Channel.

Boreomysis scyphops. G. O. Sars, p. 56.

This interesting form is also represented in the
collection of Schizopoda from the ’Challenger’ Expedition,
kindly placed in iny hands for investigation and description.
Tile presence of the species throughout the well-nigh
corresponding regions of both hemispheres, and vet without
its ever being observed in any intermediate tract of the
Ocean, would seem highly remarkable.

Synidotea bicuspida. (Owen), pg. 116.

Flere Exemplarer af denne characteristiske Fonn blev
ifølge Hoek indsamlede under Expeditionen med "Willem
Barents" i Havet om Novaja Zemlja. Miers1 henfører
denne Form til Slægten Edotia Guérin Méneville; men det

Synidotea bicuspida. (Owen), p. 116.

Several examples of tilis characteristic form were
collected, according to Dr. Hoek. on the Expedition with
the "Willem Barents", in the sea surrounding Novaja
Zemlja. Miers1 refers this form to the genus Edotia
