Sra i ap Net NATIONAL DEFENCE The Army. The present organisation of the Norwegian army was determined by a Storting resolution of February 10, 1933, and came into force on Janu- ary 1, 1934. The Army is composed as follows: Commander-in-Chief with adjutant staff. General Staff Six Divisions Corps Inspectors with staffs, also the training schools for officers and non-commissioned offi- cers, and training courses, under their control. Army Service Corps Engineering Corps Enrolment Service Higher Training Schools for officers Remount Commission. Each division is commanded by a major-general, and has its divisional staff. Divisional headquar- ters are: 1st division, Halden; 2"4 division, Oslo; 3rd division, Kristiansand; 4th division, Bergen; 5th division, Trondheim; 6th division, Herstad; (Troms province). 35
