particularly since the so-called Labour Court was established by law for the exposition of tariff issues, the legal element has gained greater pro- minence, and the Association has therefore set up a juridical department in the charge of a barrister, whose principal task is to conduct the Labour Court cases arising between members of the Association and the employed. The act relating to compulsory arbitration in labour disputes also naturally provides a good deal of work for the Association as well as for the national trades’ organisation. Norsk Arbeidsgiverforening had a membership of approximately 1600 industrial concerns in 1933. It has its own journal <Arbeidsgiveren», which is a fortnightly publication. The offices of the Norsk Arbeidsgiverforening are in Oslo, Chairman and Managing Director: Major Finn Dahl. 157
