farms of such extent that its produce satisfies the wants of the workmen and at moderate
prices, the area of the arable land at Riddarhyttan being 250 hectares (625 acres) and
of the farm at Gisslarbo 1,000 hectares (2,500 acres). In addition, the dwelling-houses,
which are all supplied with electric light, are nearly all new and practical, so that each
family has its separate entrance and outhouses, together with a small patch of garden
for pleasure and profit.
Shops and workshops for tradesmen have been erected by the Company. There
are also a shooting range, athletic grounds, and a fine public hall which can be used for
theatrical performances, lectures and other non-political entertainments.
FINANCIAL DATA; ADDRESSES, &c.
The Riddarhytte Co., Ltd., has a share capital of 11,500,000 kronor, a reserve
fund of 1,200,000 kronor and other funds amounting to 700,000 kronor.
The value of the annual output amounts to about 10 million kronor.
