Well-born Councillor of Commerce,
I received your answer written in statu irati (in a state of
anger). I desire to let you know herewith, that I have not
once used the words " fundamental law.” My remarks on your
book, with their proofs, were submitted to the Houses of
the Diet, and copies have been taken of them . I have accord
ingly done nothing else but what you have done with your
own book, with the only difference that one is printed, and
the other written . If it pleases you to have the book with my
extracts and proofs examined by the Houses of the Diet, this
lies within your power.
