-burg, viz., A.B. Strömman
Larsson, and the A. 1»
Niels R. Parelius. These
two firmsarealsomanaged
by the Hellefors Com jwiny.
We shall now give a
brief account of theWorks
and industries which are
managed by the Hellefors
Works for the account of
Fredriksberg Sulphite Works: The Wood Room. the Wargön Company.
FORESTS.
By the above mentioned acquisition of old established works, enormous forest
estates have_been brought under the management of the Hellefors Works, these districts
having a total area’of more than 160.000 hectares (400,000 acres, or more than 600
square miles) of
productive timber land, situated
in the thickly wooded
mining districts lying
between Värmland,
Dale-carlia and Västmanland.
These forest lands are
among the best in
Sweden, yielding the high
quality red, yellow and
white timber of uniform
growth which is shipped
from the northern ports
of Lake Väner and from
the Gefle shipping district.
