to Hellefors have long
been under the best
superintendence. The woods
show, as a rule, trees of
close and lofty growth,
this fact, of course,
reacting most advantageously
•on the quality of the
timber produced.
The Company has
now introduced a system
of forestiy which ma\ be Fredriksberg Sulphate Works: The Digester Department,
called scientific down to
the last detail, and its care of its woods and the Company’s forest administration as a
whole is considered as a model organisation of its kind.
POWER WORKS.

The management has
at its command own power
stations, with a total effect
of about 14,000 Kw.
COMMUNICATIONS.
The largest block of
forest land is along the
River Svartalfven and its
tributaries. These
waterways have been cleared,
so that the greater part
of the transport of timber
and pulp wood out of the
forests takes place by
