Iron :
The Company’s production of iron is, of course, to a great degree dependent on
the state of the iron market.
During 1918 Uddeholm produced for sale 43,932 tons pig iron (of which 26,770
by electric process); 57,499 tons ingots; about 40,000 tons rolled iron, and divers
manufactures. The value of the iron- and steel-products sold by the Company for the
same year exceeded 52,000,000 Kronor.
Chemical products :
Of chemical products the Company produces the following for sale:
Chloride of lime. . . about 4,500,000 kilogrammes (4,500 tons).
Caustic soda......... “ 1,500,000 “ (1,500 “ ).
Methyl alcohol .... “ 160,000 litres (40,000 galls).
