Preface to the digital edition

This is Project Runeberg's digital facsimile edition of Ivar or the Skjuts-Boy, a novel by Swedish author Emilie Flygare-Carlén (1807-1892), translated to English by professor Alex L. Krause, and published in 1852 by the Office of the Illustrated London Library. In the Swedish national library union catalog Libris, this book has record number 9519232.

The Swedish original was first published in 1841, having the title Skjutsgossen.

This book was not scanned by Project Runeberg. Instead, the scanned images and raw OCR text were provided by the Internet Archive, where this book is identified as UF00001956. It was scanned in December 2003 at the University of Florida. Project Runeberg made it available in January 2005.
