nihil ad periculosæ contradictionis aut disputationis aleam deducetur:
Omnia ad scopum Concordiæ dirigentur; omnia ex indubitatis
offi-ciorum Principijs amicabili tractatione perficientur: Atque hoc unum
in me recipio per Dei gratiam luculenter demonstrare: Confessionis
Fundamentalis Conficiendæ, & omnibus Ecclesijs ita proponendæ ut
exinde Reconciliationis effectum indubitato sperare liceat; viam,
non tantum possibilem, sed Satis Facilem & Tutam & Infallibilem
iniri posse.
Qualis autem illa via sit, ut Vestrorum theologorum iudicio
comprobante, tam Vestris Eminentijs quam alijs palam fieri possit, rogo
velitis ex illorum numero delectis quibusdam viris in mandatis dare;
ut super ea re me audire; mecum Theologica consultationis via
tractare; & ad ea quæ huic scopo consentanea proponam, responsa
concedere sua ex Dei verbo deprompta non grauentur.
Hoc si ab Eximiæ Pietatis & Æquitatis V:ræ beneuolo erga
pacem Religiosam affectu impetrare licuerit; dabitis mihi occasionem,
ut & debitas Deo Opt. Max. gradas Vestro nomine persoluam; ut
laude[m] virtuti Vestræ debitam apud omnes studiose depredicem;
ac ut pro Fælicitatis V:ræ in florentiss:o Regni statu inconcussæ
perpetuo incremento preces affectuosas deuoto animo quotidie
con-cipiam; ut decebit ilium qui hoc nomine futurus est

I haue great cause to prayse god & entreate you to blesse his
name also with mee because hee doth p[ro]sp[er] my worke here in
soe much yrt I haue greater hopes then I dare speake of; ye L.
Channc. hath ye last weeke declared himself very effectually to mee
of his owne accord; ye effect I hope will followe after Sr George
& my L. Forbes dispatch. Sr George will bring a whole bundle
of l[ett]res from mee, hee is now euen vpon his dispatch.
This state doth offer it self soe faire to england as can bee &
giueth it choice of 2 or 3 wayes how to concurre if it hath a mynd
to doe any thinge; I could wish y:t our freind2 were imployed to-
