shall establish public labour exchanges for work
of every description.
Industrial Peace. The Labour Disputes Act of
May 5, 1929, and amending acts of May 19, 1931,
and July 6, 1933, embody regulations respecting
mediation in labour disputes, and judgments in
disputes concerning the interpretation of tariff
agreements (Industrial Court), and in disputes
respecling boycott (Boycott Tribunal). Further,
it establishes the Industrial Court and the Boycott
Tribunal, also a mediation institution (State medi-
ator and district mediators).
The Workers’ Committees Act of July 23, 1920,
applies to private and public undertakings em-
ploying not less than 50 workers, and permits
the establishment of workers’ committees whose
opinion shall be heard by the managing body on
questions relating to changes in the working of
the undertaking, general provisions relating to
wages, and other working conditions (used to a
very limited extent).
The Civil Servants Rights’ Act of July 6, 1933,
comprises public services; gives public employees
the right to negotiate through their organisations
respecting salaries and working conditions, and
provides for the establishment of a special tri-
bunal for the settlement of disputes between the
State and the organisations regarding the inter-
pretation and application of the general terms and
conditions ruling remuneration and service.
