Other steamship routes connect Norway by regular services to all the main Continental ports. Some of them are worked by the two above-named companies, while others are in the hands of the Sgndenfjeldske S/S Co. Norwegian passenger, mail, and cargo services operate all over the world, with up-to-date fast ships and every equipment to satisfy the most fastidious traveller. Many of the cargo boats have limited passenger accommodation, simple but extremely comfortable. One can travel to any part of the world in Norwegian ships to-day. Charges are reasonable, and in the interests of the travelling public the tipping system in hotel, ship, and train has been abolished in favour of a fixed percentage added to the bill. The Landslaget for Reiselivet in Norge is the official travel organisation. Managing director: Mr. G. B. Lampe, Oslo. 180
