As I very often am out in country or gone travelling, and not
always am to be found in this city, I direct you, Sir, when you
make me the honor of writing to me, to put your Letter in an
Outer-Envelope, to:

As soon as I get the answer from you, I will in the mean
ti me have the Garte de Visit Portrait prepared, and sent it to you,
in Quebec.

Utom den fantasiskapelse, som skall förklara Almqvists afresa
från Sverige och långa vistelse utomlands, är här särskildt att
bemärka hans vänliga hänvisning till makarne Howitts bok och
förvandlingen till »1 Vol.» af mången en — à två — sidors uppsats i
Tömrosens höie.
Morgan svarade den 12 augusti, hvarpå Almqvist den 26 augusti
sände honom följande skrifvelse:

I thank You very much for your kind Reply, August 12. -—
You want me to give You the address of Miss Fredrika Bremer and
other Swedish Writersor Gelebrities. True it is, that I am
perso-nally acquainted — and for the most part, intimately acquainted —
with many of them. I know Miss Bremer, Jenny Lind &c. &c.
very well; but I am not able to tell you, where they reside for the
present. Fredr. Bremer is in the habit of travelling almost every
year; she has been in Italy, in England, in America (but not in
Canada, Avhat I know). Wheter she is in Sweden, this ume, I can’t
say. Jenny Lind is married. She use to reside with her husband
