Many attempts have been made to solve the secret of the great superiority in
quality of this ore. As may be seen by the analyses, the ore contains a little arsenic and, at one time, people were inclined to think that the answer had some connection with
this arsenic percentage. Nowadays, however, it is clearly seen that the cause of the
"body," possessed by the steel produced, is due to the exceedingly suitable composition
of the slag-forming substances.
The Company also has shares in the Vigelsbo Mines and is the sole owner of the
Rörberg Mine. Both of these mining fields may be considered as continuations of the
Dannemora field.
