The power used by the whole of the Works amounts to about 2,300 HP.
About 1,000 HP are obtained from the neighbouring waterfall in the River Gavleån,
which flows close by; a total of 600 HP is supplied by two blast furnace gas machines and
the remaining 700 HP are purchased from the State Power Worke at Älfkarleö near Gefle.
The Company is the owner of forest lands and also carries on farming on an
extensive scale which makes it able to supply the greater part of the demand of the employees
and their families for farm products. The staff numbers about 40 and the total number
of workmen is about 900.
