Teknologföreningen their sincere and cordial
congratulations ön the occasion of the Seventy-fifth
Anniversary of the Foundation of the Society.

Established in 1861 as an association of Engineers
and Architects for the purpose of promoting the
general advancement of Engineering Science and of
Architecture and of developing the study of problems
relating thereto by the interchange of ideas and
information amongst its members, the Svenska
Teknologföreningen has laboured long and honourably
to fulfil the objects for whicli it was created.

The close and friendly co-operation which has ever
existed between Swedish and British Engineers has
been much appreciated by the members of the
Institution of Civil Engineers who wish to express
their earnest wish for the continued welfare and
prosperity of the Swedish Society and welcome this
opportunity of acknowledging the debt owed by this
Country to Swedish pioneers of Engineering.

Witness our hands and Seal at Westminster this
27th day of April, 1936.

advancement of Science in Sweden.

To The Swedish Association of Engineers &
Architects.

The President, Council and Members of the
Royal Institute of British Architects désiré to
extend to the Svenska Teknologföreningen, ön the
occasion of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of
its foundation their cordial & fraternal greetings &
congratulations. The debt which the architects of
Britain owe to those of Sweden is ever present in our
minds. Only ten years ago it was our privilege to
honour one of the greatest of living architects Ragnar
Östberg by recommending to His låte Majesty King
George Y that lie should award to him that most
distinguished tribute the Royal Gold Medal for
Architecture. Our architects, old & young, turn continually
towards Stockholm to refresh their imaginations by
studying the past and present achievements of your
brilliant designers. The link of friendship which binds
together the architects & the representative
architec-tural societies of Sweden and Britain grows stronger
year by year. May the Svenska Teknologföreningen
flourish ever möre and möre.
