This genus is a link between Hyperia and Euthemisto, the
form of the body and of the first two pairs of pereiopoda
re-sembles Hyperia, but the elongated fifth pair and the long urus
verge to Euthemisto.

1. Hyperiella antarctica, C. Bovallius, 1887.

Pl. 45, fig. 72—80.

Syn. 1887. Hyperiella antarctica. C. Bovallius. L. c., p. 19.

The head is very deep and short, both pairs of antennee
are comparatively short (in the male), composed of few but
long slender articles. The carpus of the first pair of
pereiopoda is very broad; the carpal process of the second pair is

This genus is most closelv allied to the following genus

the fifth pair of pereiopoda not being longer than the seventh.
From Hyperiella by the elongated metacarpi of the last three
pairs of pereiopoda.
