basement has a most excellent situation on a high
hili looking over the city and the beautiful valley
of the Hudson river. The land belonging to the
home is sufficient to feed cows, pigs and hens, so
that milk, pork and eggs can be had for the care of
the animals. Twenty-two old people have at present
a beautiful resting place for their remaining days,
tenderly cared for by the matron Miss Hannah
Anderson and her assistants. Some indebtedness is still
resting on this Home, but the zealous
superintendent, Rev. F. Broman, is planning for, and has good
hopes of, wiping out this debt within the next tv o
years.
