The writer of these sentiments has several years
ago gone to her reward and she who by her noble
life and character could call forth such a lovely
tribute as this, has also joined the happy throng
in God’s paradise.

It is not necessary to say many words about her
earthly career in this brief sketch, but her many
friends would rathed hear who she was, as it is
after all the inner life of a person that counts. Suf-

fice it is to say that
she was born in
Karlstad, Sweden,
on the 18th day of
August 1844, and
departed this life
in Chicago
Janiu-ary llth, 1922. Her
father was a
Captain in the
Swed-ish army and her
mother a daughter
of a noted
clergy-man. Born in a
home of cultur and
refinement she
re-ceived the best
edu-cation her
father-land could give,
