To all donors the Secretary was instructed to
convey the thanks of the Society.
By vote of those present the following resolutions
were passed:
1. To publish, whenever expedient, a bulletin
containing notices of the activities of the society
and other matters of interest to its members.
2. To elect Rev. Gottfrid Nelson, Chicago, to the
Council, in the vacancy caused by the death of Dr.
Ludvig Holmes of Evanston.
3. To appropriate $25 for the purchase of a copy
of Jesper Svedberg’s “America llluminata’and
certain other books.
4. To donate one of the three copies on hand of
Grönberger’s “Svenskarne i St. Croix-delcn” to the
library of Upsala University,
In these resolutions the absent members
afterwards concurred by letter.
COUNCIL MEETING, MAT 20, 1911.
The Secretary reported ten new members for the
past month and the following donations to the
library:
Prom Alfred Söderström, War road, Minn., 120
books and pamphlets and 600 rare copies of
newspapers.
Prom Dr. Carl Sprinchorn, Malmö, Sweden,
several of his own works.
Prom the late Peter Johnson, Chicago, through the
Lind offices of Mr. Oliver A. Linder, newspaper files
and several volumes of clippings, chiefly relating to
Swedish-Americans.
