‘’Uppfinningarnas hot,’’ a work in seven volumes.
From P. A. Lindberg, Chicago, a complete set of
13 bound volumes of the ‘1Valkyrian ’ ’ magazine, and
other books, 20 volumes in all.
From Svenska Kuriren, Chicago, files of the paper
for the last ten years.
From Dr. A. P. Fors and Rev. G. S’. Olislund,
Chicago, files of their local church papers.
In addition, Mr. Axel Lindegard, Hallock, Minn.,
a collector of rare books, coins, autographs and
museum objects, has promised to donate a list of
twenty works, mostly of Swedish historical interest,
some rare and possessing a peculiar value.
The president of the society, Rev. C. G. Wallenius,
was appointed to represent the society at the
dedication of the Denkmann Memorial Library at
Augustana College.
COUNCIL MEETING, SEPTEMBER 26, 1911.
Mr. Josephson, chairman of the library committee,
reported that new accessions had been entered in tbe
Accession Book by Mr, Marklund, $50 having been
paid him for this work.
The date for the annual meeting was set for
October 30, and committees on arrangement and
nominations were appointed.
The secretary reported twelve new members
received since the last meeting of the Council,
