Resolved to amend the Constitution by adding a
corresponding secretary to the regular officers.
The time of the next annual meeting was fixed at
November 6.
The Council decided to recommend that
membership diplomas be provided.
The demise of Dr. Josua Lindahl was noted, and
the Chair was authorized to appoint a committee to
nominate his successor in the Council.
ANNUAL MEETING, NOVEMBER 6, 1912.
President Wall emus made the proposed plan to
erect a library building the subject of his annual
address.
Secretary Ernst W. Olson and Treasurer Gustaf
Hallbom made their reports, which appear elsewhere
in this Year-Book.
Mr. Hallbom reported a donation of $50 by Mr.
A. E. Johnson of New York, who was unable to
attend the meeting. The gift was acknowledged by a
rising vote.
After some discussion of the proposed plan for a
library building, the Society, on motion of Mr. C. R.
Chindblom, expressed it as their opinion that the
time is not yet ripe for such an undertaking.
Mr. Alfred Söderström was elected corresponding
secretary, the soliciting of new members to be his
principal duty.
