The following were elected, members of the
Council for three years: A. E. Johnson, A. O. S.
Josephson, Martin Engberg, G. Arvid Hagstrom, D. Nyvall.
It was resolved that suitable resolutions in
memory of the late Dr. Josua Lindahl be drawn up for
publication in the next Tear-Book.
Secretary’s Report at Annual of the Swedish
Historical Society, ChiNov. 6, 1912.
What has been accomplished by the Society during
the past year has been almost wholly in the nature
of routine work, a fact which enables the secretary
to make his report very brief.
Pursuant to the decision of the society, a first
issue of its periodical publication, “Chronicles/’ was
published last February. The second issue was
planned for June, but as the intended meeting of the
Council about June 1 could not be held, there was
little or nothing to report to the members at that
time. Couneil meetings were not he d until
September 3 and September 26, so it has been thought best
to defer the next issue until the proceedings of the
annual meeting also could he reported. The second
issue, therefore, will appear shortly after the present
meeting.
At the close of last year the resources did not
warrant the expenditure entailed by the publication of
a yearbook in keeping with the last two issues.
Now, however, such a book can he put out within
the means at our command, and as ample material
is on hand, the yearbook can be got ready and sent
out about New Year’s, this issue to cover a period
of two years, as has been the case with the three fore-
