music series presenting Canada’s pop-
ular jazz musicians.

EVENING RECITAL (Tuesdays). Cana-
dian musicians perform unusual works

Fred Hill, tenor, and Jack Bristowe,
pianist, present their version of mu-
sical comedies by popular composers.

FOLK SonGs (Thursdays). Alan Mills,
Canada’s leading ballad singer, inter-
pretes the folk songs of North
America and traces the origin of many
of these to the countries of Europe and
Great Britain.

Music OF THE MODERNS (Fridays).
Weekly series for the entertainment of
modern music enthusiasts.

PRAIRIE SCHOONER (Saturdays). One
of Canada’s most famous programs of
pioneer western music presented for
our Overseas listeners.

Drama

BARLOWS OF BEAVER STREET (Mon-
days). Continuing the chronicle of
life in a small Canadian town.

On STAGE (Wednesdays). During
November and December ON STAGE
will present a serialized version of the
popular Canadian novel “Two Soli-
tudes” by Hugh MacLennan.
