the popular music program ‘‘Jazz Group”.

Jazz Group (Mondays). Popular
jazz music presented under the direc-
tion of Gilbert Lacombe.

EVENING RECITAL (Wednesdays).
Recitals by outstanding Canadian
instrumentalists and composers.

TWO FOR THE SHOW (Fridays). Fred
Hill, tenor, and Jack Bristowe, pianist,
are heard in musical comedies by
popular composers.

FOLK SONGS (Thursdays). Leading
Canadian ballad singer, Alan Mills,
interprets folk songs of North America
and traces the origin of each of these
songs.

Music OF THE MODERNS (Tuesdays).
Music for the entertainment of modern
music enthusiasts.

PRAIRIE SCHOONER (Saturdays ).
Western pioneer music presented by
Jimmy Gowler and his 14-piece orches-
tra from Winnipeg.

Drama

BARLOWS OF BEAVER STREET (Mon-
days). A dramatized serial depicting
life in a typical Canadian family.

ON STAGE (Wednesdays). Half-hour
dramas written by outstanding Cana-
dian playwrights.
