Preface to the Electronic Edition
Erik Thyselius
(1854-1924) was a recognized Swedish biographer and historian. In
this book he documents the life of Swedish king Karl XV (1826-1872) and
thereby much of Swedish 19th century history. Only one edition is
known, appearing in 1910.
Project Runeberg's electronic facsimile edition was first announced
on 3 April 1999. The pages have been scanned in 600 dpi bitonal and
are presented here in 120 dpi grayscale. The OCR text, which was very
poor, was for many pages remade in June 2025 using Tesseract 5.3 (swe).
